Ok-summer is flying by way too fast. I am not ready for it to be over! There is so much we haven't done yet! I still want to take the kids to the zoo and the aquarium. We still haven't taken a real vacation.
Let's see what I can plan .....
This week is kind of booked. It is last week of swim lessons, they end on Thursday. It also the last week of the summer reading program at the library so I need to get the kids there to drop off their reading logs so they can claim their prizes. Monday and Tuesday I have tutoring from 2-3. Wednesday I am inviting our new sitter over for lunch so she can meet the kids. Thursday afternoon I head to the spa and the new sitter will have the kids until either I get back or David gets home from work. My first ever spa day - I can't wait!!!! I'm getting a facial, manicure and pedicure and somehow it is all supposed to take three hours. Ahhh - bliss! Friday night is our 10 year anniversary and we actually have a sitter who can drive! Woo-Hoo! No picking up and dropping off the sitter! Hopefully she will turn out to be great. She lives in the neighborhood next to ours. Then I could have two sitters on my list, one across the street and one in the next neighborhood over. WOW - I think I see a social life in my future! Maybe we can hit the aquarium this weekend? Maybe Saturday? And then maybe "do the zoo" one day during the week next week? That would be two things off my list. I bet the zoo will be less crowded now - everyone here will stay home, thinking it's too hot - silly yankees! And I am still holding out hope that we can meet up with Aunt Audrey somewhere before the kids start school. Maybe Memphis? Or maybe Lake of the Ozarks? OR - one of my aunts that we saw at the memorial service in Illinois mentioned that they have a house in Chattanooga, TN that is sitting empty. She said we would be more than welcome to stay there for a week if we wanted . I need to google Chattanooga and see if maybe Aunt Audrey and crew could make it there from Dallas in a decent amount of time. And if we can't meet up with her then I think I will look for another mountain cabin for us. Maybe Georgia again or maybe in West Virginia or Tennesee this time .....
