So much up and down here lately:
UP-Audrey's almost done with school!!!
DOWN-The majority of the friends she made this year will be going to a different school in the fall. (The schools here are nutty, one school for K and 1, one school for 2-6, one for 7 and 8, one for 9th, and one for 10-12)
UP: The tenants in Austin called, the AC wasn't working - UGH! can you imagine how miserable they were? Good news is it only needed freon (sp?)
DOWN: It might be leaking freon and the unit is about 20 years old and we're going to have to replace it soon. No telling what other kind of updating will have to be done to support a new AC unit.
UP: Allison was sleeping in her twin bed and doing great!
DOWN: Something spooked her and now she's back to sleeping in the crib
UP: I was going to disassemble the crib and store it and then move the doll house bookcase that matches her bedroom furniture up from the basement. When I did that I was going to need a new bookcase for the basement and wasn't sure how I was going to afford it. Now I have more time to save for that.
UP: The neighborhood pool is open. We are so lucky to have a neighborhood pool. Other pools around here are run by "Swim Clubs" or the YMCA and they cost a fortune to join. There are no "city" or "public" pools.
DOWN: We pass the pool every time we come in and out of the subdivision and the older two are constantly begging us to take them there and making sure we know that EVERYONE else is there.
UP: Audrey and Amy are pretty decent swimmers now
DOWN: Allison is obviously not able to get in the pool by herself which means I have to get in the pool with her which means I have to wear a swim suit.
UP: Allison is talking so much now and is really becoming quite an independent little girl.
DOWN: She uses that new vocabulary to talk back and demonstrates her independence by voicing her opinions often. EX: "Allison, are you ready to go get your jammies on?", "NO! I watch Cinderella" and "Dada? I see Dada?" (as we're on our way home from running errands) "No, Daddy is at work", "Oh - - - Dada come?" "Yes, Daddy will come home, after nap, when it is dinner time." "Dada come?", " Not until dinner. (then I try to change the subject) We're having chicken for dinner. Are you going to eat your chicken nuggets with Daddy?", "No, I no eat chicken."
