Some of it's been laziness
- some of it's been because David was working C-R-A-Z-Y long hours
- and some of it was because I had this to clean up:
A big mess, yes. But I count it a blessing to have been able to have such a wonderful Christmas. AND - when you live 1100 miles from all of your close relatives, no one comes over on Christmas Day and you get to leave the mess for as long as you can stand it.
Anyway, here are a few updates for you - - -
LESLEY:
She emailed me this news on Saturday, December 19:
"2 out of 3 surgeons agree I can try another round of chemo! You know life is relative when chemo is the good and exciting option."
and she was headed back to MD Anderson to meet with an oncologist on Tuesday, December 22.
THE JOB:
I got this in an email on Monday December 21:
"Kirsten,
I checked with upper management and at this point you are able to keep your current MS due to the confirmed sessions you are getting at 10am and 2pm EST throughout the week. They are highly urging you to self nominate as well during official business hours to help meet the needs of all of our students during those peak hours. If student demand should change and the need for teachers during these off-hours should decline, you would need to make the necessary adjustments to your schedule at that point."
I am still in limbo on the volunteer position - I just don't have a strong feeling one way or the other ......
